Guidelines for washing walls.
To help maintain the clean appearance of your walls, just follow these easy steps:
- To wash the area, use a good quality cellulose sponge and a solution of
nonabrasive dish detergent (liquid soap) and water.
- Avoid applying severe pressure against the wall surface when washing walls. Let the sponge and soap solution do the cleaning.
- Rinse the soap solution off with clean water and sponge.
- Do not use a wash cloth, dish rag, abrasive pad or abrasive soap. These will burnish the paint and leave a permanent blemish. If your walls are textured, the concentrated force of washing with the above items can cause the wall texture to collapse, taking the paint with it.
