Columbia warranty programs ensure that coatings are being used and applied as specified to promote the maximum life of the coating system. Because all warranty programs are administered by Columbia's experienced coatings experts, you can be assured of the success of your coatings project.

Residential Builder Warranty Program
We manufacture and supply a variety of quality coatings designed specifically for residential applications and formulated to promote excellent adhesion, high hiding power, and a tough, durable finish. These coatings offer excellent soil and stain resistance, superior washability and excellent overall performance.
At Columbia, we stand behind our quality. That's why we offer a twenty year
warranty on many of our coating systems when applied to new residential
properties.
How the program works. The builder works with a Columbia Representative
to specify a coating system eligible for warranty coverage, the applicator applies the coatings in accordance with warranty guidelines, and the warranty statement is signed by both builder and applicator and presented to the homeowner.
Warranty coverage. Columbia Paint & Coatings warrants that for twenty years from the date of purchase, the coating systems specified under the warranty will provide a protective and decorative finish under normal wear and exposure conditions when applied and cared for in accordance with label directions. Performance covered by this warranty, where the prime coat is applied to a properly prepared surface, followed by two finish coats, includes:
- Durability - The paint will not erode or expose exterior substrates and
will withstand repeated washing of interior and exterior surfaces with non-abrasive and mild detergents.
- Washability - The point will allow removal of common soils, dirt and deposits, soap and water spots.
- Resistance - The paint will be resistant to flaking, peeling, scaling,
checking, widespread cracking, and excessive chalking
Warranty coverage excludes horizontal surfaces and plywood siding.

Columbia offers a variety of coatings that have demonstrated exceptional durability and are formulated to deliver optimum adhesion, weather resistance and color retention over a variety of surfaces. Five to twenty year warranty programs are offered on many of these Columbia coating systems when used in a variety of situations, including applications to most vertical, wood, masonry, and metal surfaces.
Commercial and industrial warranty programs include pre-inspection, product
recommendation, surface qualification, applicator qualification (if desired by owner/builder/specifier), interim and final inspections.
